Robodex began with two school students who were passionate about making smart technology more accessible. Frustrated by how complicated and expensive existing home automation systems felt, Ishaan and Dhanush started building a practical alternative that works with the way Indian homes are actually wired.
The Origin Story
In 2024, while still in school, Ishaan and Dhanush began experimenting with smart automation systems out of pure curiosity and a deep interest in technology. What started as learning and building quickly evolved into a serious mission — creating practical smart home solutions tailored for Indian households.
The challenge wasn’t the technology itself — it was accessibility. Complex installations and expensive setups made automation feel out of reach for many families.
Retrofit was born a philosophy built around upgrading existing electrical systems instead of replacing them. Today, Robodex modules are making smart automation simpler and more practical across Bangalore.
